The sooner you migrate, the longer you will be able to take advantage of the email forwarding (which will make your transition easier). Also, Wadsnet will only be able to provide the transitional e-mail assistance until September 1, 2011 (Internet connectivity tech support will still be provided to all of our customers). Notice to all e-mail users that have an address ending in "@wadsnet.com"

In an effort to stay on the cutting edge of spam prevention as well as offer new features to our e-mail users, Wadsnet's e-mail system will be partnering with Google. Through Google's Gmail system, our e-mail users will be able to get a mailbox with much more storage space for attachments, etc. (7,500 mb of space for the free version and 25,000 mb of space for the paid version compared to the existing 20 mb limit on the current Wadsnet system). On September 1st, 2011 all e-mail services for "@wadsnet.com" users will be Google-based.

You have 2 options, one option is completely free and the other is a paid service. If you have any questions on either option, please contact us at 330-335-2880 (M-F 8am - 4pm). You need to pick one of these options before September 1, 2011. The sooner you switch, the more time you will have to take advantage of the e-mail forwarding to your new e-mail address (if you choose the free option).

1.) FREE OPTION: You can still have free e-mail, but you have to change your e-mail address.
    You can continue to use any mail program of your choice and it will look exactly the same to you (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) or you can use their built-in web interface (they have a very nice webmail system) which eliminates all the hassle of setting up a mail client. Through the web interface you can have calendaring as well as Google Apps, which is a replacement for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Also, if you e-mail us at support@wadsnet.com anytime before September 1, 2011 we will setup e-mail forwarding for you so e-mail sent to your "@wadsnet.com" address will be delivered to your new Gmail address (please provide us with your Wadsnet and Gmail addresses). This forward will stay engaged until September 1, 2011 which will give you plenty of time to notify everyone of your new e-mail address. With this option, Wadsnet will provide one-time transitional assistance to help you migrate to the new system; after you have been migrated, no further e-mail tech support will be provided by Wadsnet (Internet connectivity tech support will still be provided). 2.) PAID OPTION: You can keep your existing "@wadsnet.com" e-mail address.
    If you want to keep your Wadsnet email address it will cost $5.00/month per email address (which will be added to your city utility bill). The $5.00/month charge exists because Google will be charging us for each account; this is to offset that cost. You will also have access to an enhanced version of Google Apps which covers shared calendars, tasks, and a web-based alternative for office productivity software (Word, Excel, etc.) You can continue to use any mail program of your choice and it will look the same to you (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) or you can use their built-in web interface (they have a very nice webmail system) which eliminates all the hassle of setting up a mail client. With this option, Wadsnet will provide transitional assistance to help you migrate to the new system; after you have been migrated, Wadsnet will continue to provide e-mail tech support. You need to notify us before September 1, 2011 if you want the paid option; please call 330-335-2880 (M-F 8am - 4pm).
